Alexandru Bonea is a strategic investor and capital allocator in real estate, with a focus on residential, retail, and hospitality developments. His career combines entrepreneurial vision with hands-on execution, across both private and public markets.

As Co-Founder & CEO of Meta Estate Trust, Alexandru built one of the first real estate investment platforms in Romania — listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and supported by a network of visionary entrepreneurs. Under his leadership, the company has invested over €35 million in 42 projects, completed 20 exits with IRRs between 12% and 42%, and since 2023, when he took over as CEO, carried out a full strategic restructuring: he reduced portfolio risks, repositioned the investment strategy, and restored the company to consistent profitability — with a net ROE of over 10% annually.

Before Meta, Alexandru built his operational experience across three key markets:

  • 🇷🇴 Romania – Coordinated the development of a premium villa residential complex in Corbeanca, as Head of Real Estate at Deltastudio Group
  • 🇵🇹 Portugal – Founded a value-add investment company focused on renovating and selling residential assets in Lisbon
  • 🇦🇪 UAE – Launched and led a trading company in Dubai, importing and distributing consumer goods globally
